Meet the Broadband Week Staff



Rob Stuehrk, Publishing Director
Rob is a broadband publishing industry pioneer with a dozen years as publisher of CED, where he orchestrated its major change in focus to emphasize broadband technology. He developed CED’s Broadband Communications Buyers’ Guide and launched its Plant Management supplement covering broadband network maintenance and operations.



 

Editorial Department



Roger Brown, Editorial Director
Roger was among the first journalists covering broadband technology and has been responsible for the editorial content of CED magazine for over a dozen years. He is one of the most respected editors and reporters among the telecommunications trade press.



Matt Stump, Editor  
Matt's 20-year career began as reporter and editor for Broadcasting. He became Cable World's national affairs editor, then editor and publisher for interactive television's On Demand, and returned to Cable World as editorial director prior to joining Broadband Week.



Karen Brown, Senior Editor
While associate technology editor for Cable World, Karen focused most of her attention on broadband technology and content. Earlier on, her journalistic skills were honed by more than ten years as reporter, editor and managing editor for Denver metro area newspapers.



Gary Arlen, Consulting Editor
Gary has been a respected telecommunications consultant and author for more than two decades. He has advised some of the most successful new media ventures in the world and is frequently quoted as an authority on the impact of broadband on communications. 



Leslie Ellis, Technology Analyst
An independent technology analyst and writer, Leslie also contributes to Multichannel News and CED. Previously, she was senior technology analyst for Paul Kagan Associates, senior technology editor for Multichannel News and managing editor for CED.

Sales And Marketing Department


Brian Campbell, Director-Western Sales
Brian, a nine year Cahners veteran, has worked for Multichannel News and Multichannel News International--most recently as the director of technology advertising. His broadband experience encompasses the cable and satellite sectors, worldwide. 

Electronic Media Department



Richard Purcell, General Manager, Electronic Media
Richard oversees the Cahners Telecom Group’s Web presence. A seasoned industry veteran and founding member of Wireless Week’s staff, he previously held editorial positions with Communications, Cellular Marketing, Convergence and Cable Television Business magazines.




Susan Rush, Web Editor
Susan launched BroadbandWeek Direct, our daily e-letter. She brings over nine years senior-level writing and editing experience to her role, including key positions at High-Performance Composites, Composites Technology and TapeDisc Business magazines.
